Poland Launches Pre-Production KSeF 2.0 Taxpayer Application

On November 15, 2025, the Polish Ministry of Finance officially released the pre-production (Demo) version of the KSeF 2.0 Taxpayer Application. This release follows the earlier deployment of the test environment and serves as a critical milestone in the transition toward the mandatory e-invoicing regime, which is scheduled to take effect for large enterprises on February 1, 2026.

Understanding the Testing Environments

The newly launched pre-production environment offers a simulation closely resembling the conditions of the final mandatory system. Users must log in using real authentication credentials (such as a valid NIP), but can use fictitious invoice data.

This differs from the test environment, which is designed for initial testing using both fictitious credentials and data.

Using the Demo environment allows taxpayers to verify connectivity and authorization processes under realistic conditions without triggering any legal or tax consequences. All data entered into the pre-production system is treated as non-binding and will be periodically deleted by the administration.

Key Functionalities

Users accessing the KSeF 2.0 Pre-Production Taxpayer Application can now evaluate a comprehensive range of features aligned with the system's technical requirements:

  • Invoice Management: The application supports the issuance, receipt, and visualization of invoices and correction notes based on the FA(3) logical structure.
  • Document Handling: Users can search for and download sent invoices in multiple formats, including XML, HTML, and PDF.
  • Verification: The system generates an Official Proof of Receipt (UPO) for both individual and bulk invoice submissions.
  • Access Controls: The platform enables the management of tokens (valid until December 31, 2026) and the handling of QR codes for anonymous invoice access.

Important Technical Considerations

Businesses should be aware that the pre-production environment operates independently from the production Certificates and Permissions Module (MCU), which launched on November 1, 2025. Consequently, certificates and permissions established in the demo environment cannot be transferred to the live production system – they are distinct ecosystems.

The Ministry further advises that the application may undergo continued optimization and performance adjustments leading up to the final production launch in February 2026.
