In a recent interview for Business Insider, Comarch CEO Jarosław Mikos discusses the strategic direction Comarch is taking after a year of transformation and new leadership, its global operational reach, and the fundamental role of artificial intelligence in business development.

Comarch, founded 30 years ago in Krakow by Professor Janusz Filipiak, is today a global technology organization executing projects for the world’s largest companies. It consistently develops its competencies by combining experience with a modern approach to management and technology.

As Jarosław Mikos emphasizes in the interview:

“ We have a very strong ERP system offered primarily on the Polish market and in the region. We provide loyalty services and e-invoicing to clients worldwide; we also carry out projects for banks, insurance companies, and companies in the communication and telecommunications industries. We have offices in Chicago, New York, São Paulo, Riyadh, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, and in almost every major city in Europe. We serve the world's largest companies.”

During the conversation, the Comarch CEO also addresses the role of artificial intelligence as one of the key pillars of the company's development:

“Artificial intelligence is not just a buzzword for us. We treat it as a technology that genuinely supports our products, processes, and the way our teams work. AI is an integral element of Comarch's development strategy and will have increasing importance in building our competitive advantage.”

AI is meant to act as a factor that organizes the company's operations and, in the future, become the "lifeblood" of the organization – a tool used across every business line and operational area.

Comarch is intensively implementing AI within the organization. The company has already trained thousands of employees, and the adoption rate of AI tools is very high, particularly among engineers. AI is utilized not only in programming (e.g., to improve the quality and speed of code creation) but also in areas such as sales, accounting, and HR. According to the CEO, this translates into better product quality, including new versions of ERP systems, and higher team efficiency.

Jarosław Mikos emphasizes that AI does not eliminate jobs but rather changes competency requirements. In his view, a greater threat to an employee is not using AI tools rather than the technology itself. Specifically, the role of programmers is evolving – skills such as working with models, creating effective prompts, and collaborating with the business side are becoming increasingly important.

The interview, conducted by Grzegorz Kowalczyk, a journalist for Business Insider Poland, serves as a summary of the first year of intensive organizational and operational changes and sets the course for Comarch’s further development as a modern, global technology firm.
